Google PR Update – May 01, 2008

Ok guys….. is there anyone out there could explain this to me;

i have 3 site; 1 SEOed which is http://id-economy.blogspot.com (about 500 backlinks), while the other 2 hasn’t yet which are http://nugrohoadipratama.com (about 20 backlinks) and http://mediasakinah.com. (about 5 or less backlinks) both id-economy and nugrohoadipratama.com has been set for dofollow both in content and comment.

and what the hell causing my id-economy and nugrohoadipratama.com ranked 0 while my mediasakinah.com ranked 2; this is totally awkward, since mediasakinah.com only got one backlink yet (it’s from PR4 site….).

My current analysis :

1. Looks like google love a natural site; it is very likely that dofollow site will have some serious kick in the ass bad ranking.
2. Google PR count on who link to you, not to who you linking at, so a good site have so many backlink while at the same time have minimal link to other site.
3. It is very likely that the site’s PR that giving you backlink are accounted in your site PR calculation.

darn! i hate google. This is a fun yet entertaining experience, but however it remind me my other situation in real life, there is no pay for a high effort…!!

[update - 050508] when doing blogwalking i read that google hate a brute link exchange, this may be the problem. it is said that it better to link under same category, if your site about economy then you should try to get links from economy related link.
