- The most common TLD is .com, always prefer a .com domain. A .net refer to a community site such as forum, etc. Statistically if people not know the domain’s suffix they will enter .com 1st.
- Avoid the usage of dash or minus sign, it is no problem in written communication, but when it come to verbal communication, would be difficult to give your domain names to your audience.
- Not more than 3 word long.
- Take local/international language pronounce into audience account, some keyword will sounds strange on your audience.
- Include your business topics to make audience define your site’s topics easier.
- Do not give up if your target domain has been registered, Try to contact the existing owner via WHOIS query, email them ask for a price, the thumbrules are if it is > $200 go find another domain. Use service like deletedlive whether there is a match domain.

can you explain your doubt on buying domain in Indonesia ? as far as i’m concern, buying domain (and hosting) in Indonesia have no difference than the one done abroad, in contrary buying domain abroad could give you headache cause slow connection between indonesian gateway and the abroad domain provider’s site.
good domain and easy to remember can increase our traffic.
